We had our first water monitoring event last Saturday, Jan. 7th, on Signal Mountain, and it was a big success! It even got written up in nooga.com!
We had a great turnout, with 14 adults and 4 kids, and representation from TDEC, HCWQ, and the Town of Signal all there. Everyone got some hands-on experience with testing water qualities like turbidity and pH and checking for the presence of E. coli bacteria (there was a lot, eww).
All our water monitoring data is currently hosted on our mother site, CaribbeanSEA, and you can sign up to check out kits or get training, download field sheets, and see all the currently submitted data! Check it out!
